GAMB·8 Verification Methodology
Every signal, weight, and threshold we use is documented on this page, sourced from the scoring engine itself. If you want to check our math, this is the math.
1. Verification Levels
GAMB·8 uses a four-level verification ladder. Each level requires successively stronger evidence and grants higher platform trust indicators.
No verification applied.
- No data
- Default for all streamers
Streamer signs a legal declaration.
- Signed declaration on file
- Legal name verified
- Platform account linked
Blockchain TX hashes or bank statement cross-referenced.
- On-chain deposit confirmed
- Source address classified
- No fill deal signals
Withdrawal challenge passed + statistical analysis clean.
- Nonce withdrawal on-chain confirmed
- Win rate analysis reviewed
- Quarterly re-challenge active
Full third-party audit + provably fair verification.
- Independent financial audit
- Provably fair bets verified
- Casino API data confirmed
2. Composite Score Weights
The composite verification score (0–100) combines six independent signals. Each signal is scored 0–100, then weighted. The weights sum to 1.0; when a signal has no data, its weight is redistributed across the signals that do, so missing data never counts for or against a streamer:
Confidence modifier: a score computed from thin data is marked "low confidence" and displayed with a caveat rather than presented as settled.
3. Verified Deposit Ratio (VDR)
VDR = total_verified_deposits_USD / last_known_stream_balance_USDVDR measures how much of a streamer's visible gambling balance has been independently verified as originating from their own funds. It is calculated from on-chain blockchain transactions only; no self-reported data is accepted.
| VDR Range | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| > 1.0 | Deposited more than current balance: strong real money signal (typical of losing players) |
| 0.8–1.0 | Strong real signal: most of current balance has been verifiably deposited |
| 0.3–0.8 | Ambiguous: possibly winning big, possibly partial injection |
| 0.1–0.3 | Weak signal: balance significantly exceeds verified deposits |
| < 0.1 | Red flag: balance far exceeds anything verifiably deposited |
| 0 | No verified deposits found: unverifiable |
Deposit Source Classification
Not all verified deposits are weighted equally. Deposits are classified by origin:
- Personal Exchange (1.0x): Funds from Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc. directly to casino. Strongest signal of personal ownership.
- Known Personal Wallet (0.8x): Established wallet with 50+ transactions, consistent personal use history.
- Unknown (0.3x): No identifiable source. Neutral weighting.
- Fresh Wallet (0.1x): Wallet with <5 total transactions. Possible casino-provided intermediary.
- Casino Circular (0.0x): Funds originated from a known casino hot wallet address. Zero weight: this is the ghost credit pattern.
4. Withdrawal Challenge Protocol
Withdrawal challenges are the strongest single verification signal: harder to fake than any statistical analysis. A streamer with a passed challenge cannot easily be "house money" at that specific moment.
How It Works
- GAMB·8 admin issues a challenge: make a withdrawal of exactly $X.XX from any casino to your linked wallet
- The nonce amount is unusual and specific (e.g., $47.83, $123.17), which makes it hard to fake without the casino's cooperation
- The streamer has 48 hours to complete it on a live stream (highly encouraged) or via blockchain proof
- Our monitoring system watches the linked wallet for that exact amount on-chain, with a small tolerance for network fees
- On detection: the challenge passes, the verification level upgrades, and an on-chain NFT proof record is created and linked from the profile
Challenge Score Formula
challenge_score = (passed × 1.0 + expired × 0.0) / total_challengesChallenges expire if not completed in 48 hours, and expired challenges count against the score. A streamer cannot ignore challenges indefinitely; the score decays.
Automatic Re-Challenge
Level 3+ streamers receive automatic quarterly challenges. Verification expires if a streamer goes 75 days without a passed challenge.
5. Statistical Anomaly Detection
The strongest statistical tell is the split between win rates on casino-owned and third-party games.
Casino-Owned vs. Third-Party Win Rate
The key insight: in-house originals (Crash, Mines, Plinko, HiLo) run on the operator's own servers and can be configured by the operator. Third-party games (Pragmatic, Evolution, Play'n GO) cannot; their RNG is certified and hosted by the provider. A player who consistently wins more on the games the casino controls is showing you something.
anomaly_ratio = win_rate_casino_owned / win_rate_third_party| Anomaly Ratio | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| < 1.1 | Normal: win rates consistent across game types |
| 1.1–1.5 | Notable: casino-owned games performing above statistical norm |
| 1.5–2.0 | Suspicious: significant deviation from expected probability |
| > 2.0 | Strong signal: wins on casino-owned games far exceed statistical expectation |
Minimum data requirement: At least 50 hours of session data analyzed. Fewer than 50 hours returns "insufficient data": we will not speculate on small samples.
6. Session Injection Detection
Injection detection tracks balance between streaming sessions. If a streamer's balance at the start of stream N is significantly higher than at the end of stream N-1 (without a verifiable deposit), this gap is a potential injection: funds appearing from nowhere.
injection_gap = start_balance[N] − end_balance[N-1]if injection_gap > 0 AND no blockchain deposit found → injection_event| Total Injected | Verdict |
|---|---|
| > $100,000 | Critical: systematic injection strongly indicated |
| $25,000 to $100,000 | Suspicious |
| $5,000 to $25,000 | Notable |
| < $5,000 | Minor (could be normal variance) |
| 0 | Clean |
Data source: administrator-entered balance snapshots (from VOD analysis or community reports). Each snapshot: stream date, starting balance, ending balance.
7. Community Evidence Processing
Community reports feed into the composite score as a weighted signal. Processing rules:
- All reports start as
pending: they do NOT affect the public score until reviewed - Reports are reviewed by GAMB·8 staff for factual basis (clip URL must work, timestamp must show claimed behavior)
- Verified reports become
verifiedand enter the scoring pipeline - Dismissed reports are removed from scoring entirely
- Anti-brigading: accounts <30 days old cannot submit reports
- Single reporter limit: one report per streamer per evidence type from one account
Community Score Formula
community_score = (verified_dismissals − verified_reports × 2) / total_reviewed + 0.5clamped to [0, 1]More verified reports lower the score; more dismissed reports raise it. A streamer with zero reports has a neutral score of 0.5.
8. House Money Warning Thresholds
| Label | Trigger Condition | Display |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | Composite score < 40 OR (VDR < 0.1 AND 20+ hours streamed) OR anomaly_ratio > 1.8 | Orange warning indicator on profile |
| Likely House Money | Composite score < 20 OR (multiple critical signals present) OR verified streamer/casino admission | Orange warning with text label |
| No Warning | Composite score ≥ 40 OR insufficient data to make determination | Normal display or "unverified" |
Important: House money warnings are based on statistical analysis and community-reported evidence. GAMB·8 does not assert that any specific streamer is engaged in fraud. All analysis is disclosed with methodology, confidence intervals, and data sources. Streamers may dispute any determination; see Section 9.
9. Streamer Rights and Dispute Process
Every streamer has the right to:
- Apply for verification: any streamer can submit evidence at any time
- Dispute analysis: contact disputes@gamb8.com with counter-evidence
- Respond to reports: streamer can add a public response to any house money report
- Request data deletion: streamers not on GAMB·8 can request removal of their profile
- Appeal house money labels: escalated for review within 72 hours
Dispute SLA
- Acknowledgement: 24 hours
- Initial review: 72 hours
- Final decision: 7 business days
- Escalation path: disputes@gamb8.com, or the takedown process at /truth/takedown
