API Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to the GAMB·8 public API. By generating an API key at /settings/api-keys, you agree to every clause below. Keys are auto-revoked if you breach these terms.

Every consumer must display “Powered by GAMB·8” with a hyperlink to https://gamb8.com in the user interface, app-store listing, or API documentation where GAMB·8 data is surfaced. Press-tier usage may use plain-text credit; enterprise waivers are case-by-case by written agreement.
2. No wholesale resale
API data — including directory listings, scores, investigations, and any derivative compilation — may not be resold as-is or repackaged as a competing directory service. Individual citation with commentary in editorial, academic, or journalism contexts is fine and welcome.
3. No ML/AI training on bulk retrievals
Data retrieved via bulk endpoints (list, export, or paginated scrolls larger than 100 rows) may not be used to train machine-learning models or fine-tune foundation models. Individual-entity lookups are permitted for per-entity product features — a lookup-in-UI or embed-in-article use is fine.
4. Canary republication triggers auto-termination
GAMB·8 seeds decoy entities into API responses for clone detection. If canary data appears on a consumer-operated property, the implicated API key is revoked immediately and a cease-and-desist follows under the governing-law clause below.
5. Watermark preservation
Consumers may not strip the _meta block from responses or alter row ordering in bulk responses to evade provenance tracking. Same-key ordering is deterministic; same-key scraping fingerprints back to the originating key. Deliberate stripping is a breach.
6. Use-case truthfulness
The use_case string declared at key signup must truthfully describe actual usage. Material deviation — hitting endpoints unrelated to the declared use case for more than 30 days — is grounds for termination.
7. Canary and _meta discovery
You acknowledge that API responses contain watermarks and canary entities for clone detection, and that deliberate circumvention — for example regex-stripping _meta, pattern-detecting and removing canary rows, or randomizing your own request ordering to obscure per-key ordering — is a breach of these terms.
8. Term, termination, governing law
This agreement auto-renews monthly. Either party may terminate for cause (breach) with immediate effect, or for convenience with 7 days’ written notice. Governing law: Laws of the Republic of Estonia. Exclusive jurisdiction: Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus), Tallinn, Estonia. You waive any objection to venue or forum non conveniens.
9. Data accuracy disclaimer
GAMB·8 makes no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying any data point before relying on it in a production context. GAMB·8 is not liable for decisions made on the basis of API responses.
10. Changes to these terms
Material changes take effect 14 days after publication on this page. Continued API use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Prior versions remain available here via the version picker (added post-v1). The version integer you accepted at signup is stored with your key — we can always tell you which terms you agreed to.
