Streamer Content Policy

1. What We Publish

GAMB·8 publishes three categories of content about public-facing streamers:

• Structured profile data — disclosed sponsorships, identity status, stream frequency, platform(s), and public statements. Sourced from the streamer's own channels, public filings, or third-party records, with the source cited.
• Scores & indices — calculated metrics (Truth Score, Edge, Gamb8, Health) produced by deterministic algorithms from the profile data. The full methodology is published and versioned.
• Editorial investigations — long-form reporting published under an author byline, with a named editor responsible.

We do not publish private information (home address, family members, unverified allegations about private conduct) unless it is already public and directly relevant to a public-interest matter we are investigating.

2. Evidence Standard

Before publishing any editorial claim of wrongdoing — including undisclosed sponsorship, fake balance, rigged play, or misleading statements — the claim must meet our evidence bar:

• Two independent primary sources, or
• One primary source plus a 14-day non-response window during which the subject was given specific questions and an opportunity to reply, or
• A single primary source that is itself authoritative (e.g. on-chain transaction, an operator's public filing, a court document, or a recording the subject has publicly acknowledged).

"Primary source" means documentary evidence that speaks for itself — a screen recording, contract, blockchain transaction, operator statement, regulator ruling, or an on-the-record interview. Secondary sources (other outlets, aggregators, community speculation) are not sufficient on their own.

3. Right of Reply

Before we publish an editorial investigation that names an individual streamer in a critical light, we will:

• Contact the subject with a clear summary of what we intend to publish and the specific questions we want answered.
• Provide a response window of at least 14 calendar days for non-urgent matters, or 72 hours for time-sensitive matters (e.g. ongoing consumer harm).
• Include any substantive response in the published piece, verbatim where space permits.
• If no response is received, note that the subject was given an opportunity to comment and did not respond.

4. Corrections & Updates

We make mistakes. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and quickly:

• Acknowledge within 72 hours of a valid correction request.
• Resolve within 14 days — either update the record, append a correction, retract the claim, or explain why the original stands.
• Corrections are marked on the page, not silently edited. A visible correction log records what changed and when.
• If a score or index changes as a result, the new score is stamped with the correction reason.

5. Sourcing & Attribution

Every factual claim links to a source where possible — a public post, an archived page, a contract excerpt, or a primary document we hold in reserve. Where a source must be protected (e.g. a whistleblower), we say so and describe the type of source without identifying them.

We never pay sources. We do not give advance copy to subjects for approval; we do share specific quotes used for fact-check when necessary.

6. Anonymous & Whistleblower Sources

We accept tips on condition of anonymity when the source faces credible retaliation risk. Anonymous tips alone are never the basis for publication — they must lead to primary-source evidence that we can verify independently. Secure intake channels will be published on this page as they go live.

7. Commercial Firewall

GAMB·8 earns revenue from affiliate partnerships with casinos and gambling products. These commercial relationships do not influence editorial scoring or investigations. Specifically:

• No partner may review, approve, or pre-read editorial content before publication.
• No partner may pay to raise a streamer's score, remove a negative item, or bury a correction.
• Any commercial relationship that would create an appearance of conflict is disclosed on the affected page.
• Editorial decisions are made by named editors who are not paid per-engagement by commercial teams.

8. Appeals & Escalation

If a streamer or their representative believes we have failed to apply this policy correctly, they may escalate. The escalation order is:

• Step 1 — Correction request to legal@gamb8.com, responded to within 72 hours.
• Step 2 — Editorial review by the responsible editor, typically within 14 days.
• Step 3 — Appeal to the Investigations Editor (named below). Decisions from this step are final on editorial merits.
• Step 4 — Legal channels. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights. EU residents may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform. UK and US residents have court and regulator options.

9. Legal Defences We Rely On

Truth Engine content is published as part of a journalistic activity and relies on the corresponding legal protections where applicable:

• GDPR Article 85 — the journalism exemption for processing personal data for news and opinion purposes.
• UK Defamation Act 2013 §4 — public interest defence / responsible publication on a matter of public interest (Reynolds privilege codified).
• US First Amendment and New York Times v. Sullivan — actual-malice standard for public-figure reporting; 47 U.S.C. § 230 for user-submitted content we host but did not create.
• EU Digital Services Act — hosting provider protections for user-submitted material, subject to notice-and-action obligations.

Reliance on these defences does not reduce our commitment to the evidence bar in Section 2.

10. Accountability

Editorial responsibility sits with the named Investigations Editor. Until that role is publicly announced, editorial responsibility rests with the GAMB·8 operator (see Company Information). All legal notices, corrections, and appeals reach the editorial desk at legal@gamb8.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

Changes to this policy are versioned. Material changes — the evidence bar, right-of-reply window, correction SLA, or commercial-firewall rules — are announced in the Truth Engine changelog and on our Discord. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
