How Stake Mines Math Works
Per-Tile Probability
P(safe at step k) = (25 − mines − k) / (25 − k). With 3 mines and 0 revealed: (25−3−0)/(25−0) = 22/25 = 88%.
Cumulative Survival
P(survive r reveals) = C(25−mines, r) / C(25, r). This is the probability of never hitting a mine through r reveals.
Multiplier Formula
multiplier(r) = 0.99 × C(25, r) / C(25−mines, r). The 0.99 factor accounts for Stake's 1% house edge. It is applied once per bet: whatever fixed number of reveals you target, EV is 0.99 × bet, so there is no mathematically optimal cashout point, only a variance choice.
